I like the concept but this camera system is awful.  It would also be nice if there was a way to tell the front of the car from the back.

Thanks! Early on I decided I wanted to have a camera rotating with the car, to always have it facing the direction of movement. I also wanted it to zoom out while at high speed, but the effect proved to be rather bad, so I toned it down. In retrospect, I should have removed it entirely. Do you think it would be good enough to just remove the zoom in/out on speed change, or should I also make the camera static and don't rotate it with the car?

As for the front/back of the car - yeah, I should have made it more clear. Probably adding something simple, like windshield in the front and differently colored lights on both ends would be sufficient. Next time I'll make sure to make the sprite less symmetrical, so the basic shape can be easily distinguished.

I don't speak for everyone, but I would prefer a static camera. I didn't really notice any zooming because I couldn't go fast and stay in control.
