A small update

This is just a small update I’ve been working on a bit these past couple of days. There isn’t really a huge amount of changes, and most of them are behind-the-scenes stuff.

One thing that should be visible is that I’ve updated the project to Unity’s Universal Render Pipeline and did some updates to the post processing effects. I’ve also applied the post processing to the UI elements, making them feel more integral to the game itself.

Another quite noticeable change would be the bullet time effect. When you destroy an asteroid, time will slow down for a bit. I’ve considered adding this effect to destroyed enemies or player damage as well, but after testing it I’ve decided it’s a better effect if used sparingly. In the future, I want it to be used only on destruction of heavier enemies. For now, the asteroids will play that role.

That’s about it. While I have several things on my list to add to this game, they’ll probably have to wait for a bit, as I’ve also got other projects to attend to at the moment. So, while the timeline isn’t necessarily defined for them, more changes are coming.
